The Russian ambassador to Poland was shot in the face with red paint during a protest against the war in Ukraine on Monday.
Sergei Andreev arrived at the Soviet military cemetery in Warsaw to place a wreath in honor of the Red Army soldiers who fell on the 77th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in 1945, when some demonstrators shouted “Fascists!” Andreev was then painted, which caused his face to bleed.
Some officers also attacked around him.
Several hundred protesters took to the streets to protest Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. They took Andreev’s crown, cut more flowers and organized “die ins” in honor of those killed in Ukraine. Many waved Ukrainian flags and placed them on White sheets streaked with red.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned the incident And claimed that there was a protest “Neo -Nazi fans”, – says the translation of the Washington Post. “The West has set the course for the reincarnation of fascism,” Zakharova wrote in a Telegram post on the right-wing social media platform.
