In an evening video message to the countrymen on Monday, February 27, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about the drone attack and the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for modern combat aircraft.
“The day began with the attack of Iranian drones. Most of them were shot down. Eleven out of fourteen. Unfortunately, there were hits. Three employees of the State Emergency Service in Khmelnytsky were injured, two died. My condolences to the families. Actually, first of all, we need a part of the air defense – modern combat aircraft, so that the entire territory of our state can be protected from Russian terrorism. The air defense is fully effective when it is given, including through aviation. Modern aviation. Our pilots, along with our anti-aircraft gunners, along with all the soldiers and specialists of our Air Force, are already doing great But we will be able to fully protect the sky when the aviation taboo in relations with our partners is removed,” Zelensky said.
Remember that tonight the Russians attacked Khmelnitsky with the help of Iranian kamikaze drones. There were three hits. Civilian buildings were destroyed. Later it became known that during the attack on Khmelnytsky a rescue service worker was killed, a few hours later another injured rescuer died in the hospital.
