Deputy Vladislav Trubitsyn, accused of bribery, remains in the Servant of the People faction in the Kyiv City Council. After the arrest, Trubitsyn wrote an application for exclusion from the party until the end of the case. The head of “SN” Elena Shulyak then stated that they “released” Trubitsyn.
However, Trubitsyn was expelled only from the party, not from the faction. The secretariat of the Kyiv City Council told us that they had not received notifications about the termination of Trubitsin’s membership in the faction, the Anti-Corruption Action Center said in a statement.
Trubitsyna is still the chairman of the standing committee of the Kyiv City Council on business, industry and urban improvement.
For two consecutive meetings, it has not been possible to begin consideration of the merits of the case on the charges of Trubitsyn, a deputy of the Servant of the People in the Kyiv City Council, and his accomplices, who were exposed a year ago on a bribe of UAH 1.26 million.
However, as it became known, Trubitsina was expelled only from the party, but not from the faction. In response to a request from the CBC, we were informed that the secretariat of the Kyiv City Council did not receive notifications about the termination of the membership of deputy Trubitsyn in the Servant of the People faction.
Interestingly, on the recordings of the conversations, the defendants said that Trubitsyn went to report to the deputy head of the President’s Office, Oleg Tatarov, who “supervises all issues.”
I wonder if Trubitsyn remains a member of the SN faction in the Kyiv City Council without his participation? – they write to the CPC.
The Trubitsin case
According to the investigation, the deputy of the Kyiv City Council, in collusion with close associates and officials of public utilities, organized a corruption scheme, in which they received unlawful benefits from entrepreneurs for the placement of LFAs.
Despite the fact that the right to place such points was granted based on the results of open tenders, their potential participants were informed that only pre-determined companies for a fee could win.
In February 2022, NABU and SAPO were exposed on receiving unlawful benefits from the deputy of the Kyiv City Council Vladislav Trubitsyn and his assistant.
On February 15, it became known that a bail had been paid under Trubitsyn and he was leaving the pre-trial detention center.
