The Russian invaders continue to make every effort to break the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of Bakhmut.
Bakhmut today remains the center of the offensive of the Russian invaders, who are trying to break the defense here. In particular, during the day on this part of the front there were 300 shelling and 60 fighting. During the clashes, the enemy lost 63 soldiers killed and 141 wounded in various degrees. This was announced by the representative of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Cherevaty on the air of the United News telethon.
According to him, conquerors in this direction have huge losses every day.
In addition, Ukrainian defenders killed 33 Russians in the Kupyansko-Limansky direction.
Fierce fighting is now taking place north of Bakhmut. The Defense Forces command is trying to prevent the enemy from advancing into our territory.
The Soledar operation showed how, when the enemy was exhausted, the Defense Forces efficiently and systematically retreated without allowing themselves to be surrounded, Cherevaty said.
He also answered the question of whether the battles near Bakhmut could be called a major enemy offensive. According to him, there has been intense fighting here for more than seven months.
“There, the dynamics of fighting in our front sector, in fact, remained very active for more than seven months, and the enemy continued to maneuver troops, replacing them, among other things, due to fact that he had “Great losses. Therefore, it is impossible to say that the situation has changed significantly, because here and there the amplitude of the enemy’s attack is several dozen in each sector of the front,” said the spokesman.
As previously reported, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kirill Budanov, said that Russian troops near Bakhmut are changing tactics. First, they threw infantry into battle, not artillery or other equipment.
