Russia has not confirmed the attack by Belarusian partisans on A-50 AWACS aircraft using drones.
The Russian authorities did not comment on the information about the attack on the military airport near Minsk. This is what Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing on Monday, February 27.
“No, we have nothing to say about it. The information that was published is about Belarus, Belarus denied it, there is nothing to add to it,” he said.
Also, Peskov did not comment on reports of the alleged possible delivery of drones from China to Russia.
“I don’t see the need to comment, all this information has already been refuted by the Chinese side,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
He also refused to answer the question of whether Russia has requested any equipment from China for use in the so-called “special military operation” against Ukraine.
“No, all this information in its entirety has been refuted by the Chinese side, so we don’t see the need to say anything more,” Peskov explained.
The previous day, explosions were reported at the Belarusian military airfield Machulishchi, located 12 kilometers from Minsk.
Later, the BYPOL initiative said that Belarusian partisans attacked the Russian AWACS A-50 aircraft with drones. Russian aggressors have only nine such aircraft.
