The explosions in Mariupol, temporarily under Russian occupation, came as a real shock to the invaders.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces are destroying ammunition depots and places of deployment of Russians with precision strikes. The enemy does not understand what to do and tries to move the equipment. Russian air defense and aviation do not help with arrivals. On February 26, the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petr Andryushchenko, announced this on the air of the telethon.
They are just in shock. These three days of “clap” – it’s just a shock … They first tried to put together a “punishment from heaven” with air defense systems – this did not help. Then two days in a row they raised planes – this also did not help. And they don’t know what to do now,” the official said.
According to Andryushchenko, the enemy has turned the city into a large military and logistics base. Repair bases and ammunition depots are located in Mariupol, occupation units are also deployed here.
Precise strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine forced the invaders to move their supplies to a safer distance, in particular to Novoazovsk. However, there the enemy faced insufficient territory and logistical problems.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian military journalist Andrey Tsaplienko reported on Telegram that Russian military convoys are moving towards Mangush in Mariupol.
Recall that explosions have been thundering in the temporarily occupied Mariupol for the past few days. Russian ammunition depots, enemy equipment were on fire, there were hits on the places where the invaders accumulated. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine subsequently confirmed that the Mariupol direction is no longer absolutely inaccessible to the Defense Forces.
