The pipeline, damaged by Russian shelling, provided heat for more than 40,000 people.
In Kherson, the Russians hit the main pipeline, leaving thousands of people without heating. This was announced on Thursday, February 23, by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in a video message.
He clarified that as a result of the strike, about 600 houses were left without heat, which means more than 40 thousand people.
“Repairs will continue without delay until heat supplies are resumed,” he insisted.
“And we will take it back! No matter what these Russian terrorists and bastards do, we will take it all back,” the Ukrainian head of state summed up.
It was previously reported that the shelling of the Russian invaders caused heating problems in Kherson.
It should be noted that Russian troops attacked Kherson on the morning of February 23. As a result, houses, vehicles, gas pipelines and power lines were damaged. In addition, a civilian was killed.
Residents of Kherson are asked not to go out until the weekend
