The ban will be in effect until the end of the current session of the Parliament, or the termination of martial law and changes in the mode of operation of the Verkhovna Rada during wartime.
The Verkhovna Rada removed MP Geo Leros from plenary sessions. This ban may be in effect until the end of the current session, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said on Telegram on Thursday, February 23.
He pointed out that 261 people’s representatives voted for the corresponding decision.
Zheleznyak believes that the ban will be valid until the end of the current session, or the termination of martial law and changes in the mode of operation of the Verkhovna Rada during the war.
“That is, probably, in six months,” wrote the representative of the people.
Leros himself believes that he was suspended for criticizing the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak.
Recall that on November 4, 2021, Geo Leros, in a speech to the Rada, insulted the highest state official, and also showed obscene behavior.
A criminal case was then opened against Leros for a gross violation of public order on the basis of a clear social disrespect.
