On the morning of February 23, Ukrainians are picketing the OSCE meeting in Vienna because of the presence of Russian representatives at it.
The Assembly takes place in Vienna’s Hofburg Palace.
From this balcony, Hitler once delivered a speech about the annexation of Austria. And again in the historical palace – war criminals, whose place is in the international tribunal, – wrote the people’s deputy from the “EU” Irina Gerashchenko in her social networks.
She published a photo from the protest action and noted that the Ukrainian delegation was boycotting the Assembly and demanding that the Russians be expelled from the OSCE. The photo shows not only Gerashchenko, but also other members of the Ukrainian delegation – people’s deputies Poturaeva, Pipa, Gerasimova, Frolova, Kravchuk.
We hold a parallel Assembly and meet with all delegations at the premises of the Ukrainian Mission to the OSCE. And today, together with the Ukrainian society, they went to protests. The police were very afraid of the riots. Therefore, only 20 activists were allowed to come with posters near the Hofburg. All the delegations approached us, they are determined to block the Russians and give them a cold shower,” Gerashchenko wrote.
In the meantime, the Russian delegation made its way to the meeting by “back doors”.
The fact that Ukraine will not participate in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna, which will be held on February 23-24, was told on February 19 by a member of the Ukrainian delegation, MP Evgenia Kravchuk.
People’s deputies decided to ignore the meeting in Vienna because of the presence of the Russians. The fact is that Austria issued visas to Russian citizens.
However, the Ukrainian people’s deputies decided to leave for Vienna in order to negotiate with their partners. In addition, the Ukrainian society near the Hofburg, where the OSCE meeting will be held, has planned a protest action.
