People’s Deputy “Servants of the People” Alexander Trukhin wrote a statement on the drafting of a deputy mandate.
The Verkhovna Rada will consider it at the next meeting, People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak said.
The fact that Trukhin wrote a statement on the drafting of a deputy mandate was also reported by People’s Deputy Alexei Goncharenko. Trukhin’s statement about resignation also appeared on the network.
Recall, on February 22, the Anti-Corruption Court sentenced the deputy of the Servant of the People Trukhin: he agreed with the investigation and pleaded guilty to offering a bribe to a policeman.
I understand that it is not necessary to load either the court or the prosecutor’s office with explanations, additional proceedings, spending taxpayers’ money and your time … It is better, if a person is wrong, to come to an agreement and find solutions that will be fair, truthful. I understand that I did something stupid, and it is wrong. I’m ready to suffer punishment for this,” the people’s deputy said in the VAKS.
Trukhin and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office signed an agreement on February 17. Under its terms, the deputy undertakes to pay UAH 6 million within a month in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, for the United24 project and the Army of Drones. According to the prosecutor, in this way the people’s deputy, in particular, will confirm his repentance.
Also, the “servant” must pay a fine – UAH 68,000. This is the maximum amount of the fine under the article that Trukhin is charged with.
The deposit that the deputy made during the investigation will also be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine – this is 49.6 thousand hryvnias.
At the conclusion of the agreement, Trukhin told why exactly he offered a bribe – in order to quickly leave the scene of an accident. The prosecutor emphasized that this agreement had nothing to do with the participation of the “servant” in the accident itself.
