Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas shared the first photo of their infant daughter, Malta Marie, who finally came home to the NICU after the first few months.
“After 100 more days in the NICU, our baby is finally home,” Chopra wrote on Instagram on Mother’s Day. “Every family trip is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and as our journey has been difficult over the past few months, what becomes clear, in retrospect, is how important and perfect the Every moment.”
In the photo, the “Quantico” actress holds Malta to her chest while her singing husband holds her hand.
“Our next chapter is about to start and our son is really in a bad mood. Let’s get MM! “You love your mother and father,” he wrote. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers and caregivers in my life and beyond. You are so easy. Thank you. “
The couple also thanked doctors and nurses at Rady Children’s Hospital, La Jolla and Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles, for their support of their trial.
The couple shared some details about their first child after her birth in January, though it was confirmed in April that she would be called Malta Marie Chopra Jonas.
“We are happy to confirm that we had a replacement baby,” the couple said in January. “We politely ask for privacy at this special time when we are dedicated to our family. A thousand thanks.”
