In Kyiv, the SBU detained a pro-Kremlin blogger who was hiding from justice in the monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (MP).
This was announced today, February 22, by the press center of the SBU.
The henchman of the rashists is a metropolitan blogger, the founder of the so-called “Russian club”, who was engaged in the preparation of “custom-made” publications for the sub-sanctioned news agencies of the aggressor country. Among them are the “Russian folk line” and “one family,” the SBU notes.
It is noted that in his publications the blogger called the seizure of Crimea and part of the eastern regions of Ukraine “natural”, and also popularized the terrorist organizations “l/dnr”.
According to the investigation, his provocative materials and public speeches were actively used by the Russian special services to carry out information sabotage against Ukraine. For each portion of destructive content, the traitor received a monetary reward from the aggressor.
In August last year, he was notified in absentia of suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code (high treason).
At the same time, the attacker fled and tried to hide from justice on the territory of the Holy Annunciation Monastery of the UOC (MP), the security service notes. “However, the SBU officers found his whereabouts and detained him.
Currently, the detainee has been selected as a measure of restraint in the form of detention. An investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the perpetrators to justice.
