The country’s authorities do not see the danger of military scenarios in the near future on the Moldovan border.
Moldova does not see the risk of military scenarios on the country’s border in the short term, but there are risks of hybrid sabotage and a coup d’état. This was said by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nicolae Popescu, reports the Financial Times.
“We do not see the risk of military scenarios in the near future on the Moldovan border, thanks to Ukrainian resistance and stability. But hybrid subversive actions, a coup attempt – yes, there are risks,” said the minister .
Popescu also accused the Moldovan oligarch and the leader of the opposition party coast Ilan Shor in conducting a hybrid war against Chisinau with the support of the Kremlin.
It will be remembered that, earlier, the Prime Minister of Moldova, Dorin Recean, said that Russia plans to seize the airport in Chisinau and move its military there.
The President of the country, Maia Sandu, announced that the Russian Federation is planning to carry out a coup in Moldova with the help of opposition protests and with the participation of people with military training.
In this regard, the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, announced his readiness to help Moldova in Transnistria. According to him, the Russian Federation has been planning to change the leadership of Moldova for a long time. However, Moldova and the Russian Federation do not have a common border, and they can only transfer their military to the airport in Chisinau.
