The Secretary General of the Council of Europe visited Ukraine

Maria Pejcinovic-Buric stressed that the Council of Europe uses all available mechanisms to punish the occupying forces for war crimes.

Council of Europe Secretary General Maria Peychinovich-Burich visited Irpin and Borodyanka on May 9. She announced the visit, accompanied by Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova, on Twitter.

“I was with Emine Dzhaparova this morning in Borodyanka and Irpen. I was amazed at the futile destruction caused by the Russian aggression, but I was also amazed at the resilience of the Ukrainian people. We in the Council of Europe support Ukraine,” Peychynovych- Said Burich.

how reported Dzhaparova, during the visit, Secretary-General Maria Buric stressed that the Council of Europe uses all available mechanisms to punish Russia’s occupation forces for war crimes.

“Ukraine’s ability to recover comes from the heart itself,” Pejcinovic-Burich stressed.
