DALLAS (AP)-Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was “home and well” on Thursday, a day after news that he was involved in a car accident and taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The conditions of the father of Stephen Jones, son of the owner and executive vice president of the Cowboys, have been updated by the Associated Press.
According to anonymous police sources, Dallas TV WFAA reported that Jerry Jones, 79, was involved in an accident Wednesday night near downtown Dallas. According to the station, ambulance personnel were called and Jones sustained minor injuries.
A Dallas police spokesman told the AP that the department did not release the names of those involved in the car accident unless there were casualties. The spokesman confirmed that there had been two traffic accidents, but did not provide any other details.
The crash involving Jones was the last incident in the exciting Cowboy season.
An ESPN report in February revealed that the club had paid $ 2.4 million to four Dallas Cowboys fans in lawsuits against the PR director who retired a few weeks before the report.
A week later, a woman who grew up in North Texas filed a lawsuit claiming Jerry Jones was her biological father.
The Cowboys are also awaiting a police investigation in Dallas into a deadly shooting in which corner guard Calvin Joseph was a passenger in the car. Joseph’s lawyer states that in the second year he was unarmed and “in an aggravated situation without his knowledge and consent.”
