Russia will never win. Biden in Warsaw

US President Joe Biden, in his speech in Warsaw, shared his impressions of his trip to Kyiv and supported Ukraine.

Joe Biden arrived in Poland after visiting Kyiv. His performance in Warsaw was called historic. The US President stressed that Ukraine’s allies will not “get tired” of supporting it in the face of full-scale Russian aggression, and that Kyiv will “never” be defeated by Russia.

At stake is freedom

“There should be no doubt: our support for Ukraine will not be shaken, NATO will not be divided, and we will not tire. Putin’s thirst and desire for land and power will be thwarted – and the Ukrainian people’s love for in their country will fail. The democracies of the world will defend their freedom today, tomorrow and forever,” the American president insisted.

Biden stressed that “freedom is at stake now,” and the world realized that “it is impossible to satisfy the appetites of the aggressor, they must fight.” “Autocrats only understand one word: no, no, no! No, you will not take my country, you will not take my freedom, you will not take my future,” he added.

The President of the United States also commented on the actions of the Russian counterpart of Vladimir Putin, ensuring that he will not achieve his goals in Ukraine.

“A dictator who spent years building an empire will never crush the people’s love for freedom, cruelty will never break the will of free people, and Ukraine will never be defeated by Russia. Never!” – said the US leader.

Kyiv stands proudly

“A year ago, the world was preparing for the fall of Kiev. Well, I just arrived from Kiev and I can report that Kiev is holding strong,” Biden said, adding that the city “has pride” and, above all, “free.”

He also said that it was an honor for him to visit the memorial of fallen heroes of Ukraine in Kyiv.

Biden added that the entire world has been tested in its response to the war with Russia that began a year ago, and has not looked away.

“We reacted, we will react, we will unite – and the world will not look the other way,” Biden said.

According to him, Putin expected Ukrainians to retreat when his tanks entered Ukraine on February 24.

“But the Ukrainian people are too brave … We are too united, democracy is too strong,” the US president said.

Appeal to the Russians

Biden spoke to the Russians and assured them that the US had no intention of attacking Russia.

“I want to appeal to the Russian people. The US does not want to destroy Russia, they will not attack Russia. Millions of Russian citizens want to live in peace with their neighbors. They have never been enemies. This is a tragedy. President Putin chose the war and how the war will continue for a long time, this is his choice. He can stop the war. If the Russian Federation stops attacking and withdraws from Ukraine, the war will end. If stopped Ukraine, this will be the end of Ukraine. I am sure that Ukraine will be able to stand up for itself,” the American President insisted.

Not just speaking

Before the appeal, Biden spoke with Polish President Andrzej Duda.

Duda called the US President’s visit to Poland “a sign of the responsible role of the US for the security of the world and Europe,” and Biden responded by stressing that US support for Ukraine remains unwavering. Biden also thanked Duda for the fact that Poland received a record number of refugees from Ukraine – about 10 million people.

Biden and Duda discussed the state of affairs in NATO, and Biden recalled his conversation with Vladimir Putin.

“As I said to my colleague in Russia – you want the “Finlandization” of NATO, and you get the “Natoization” of Finland. I did not know that Sweden will also join the alliance. But, joke, if we focus , then I think we’re in a better position than we’ve ever been,” the American leader said.
