Denmark, Germany and Sweden have still not completed investigations into the joint venture sabotage, but they have reported these investigations to the Russian Federation.
Denmark, Germany and Sweden have yet to complete their own investigations into sabotage of Russian Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea. They still cannot say when these investigations will be completed. This was stated in the joint letter of the permanent representatives of the three countries to the UN, published on Tuesday, February 21.
The attachment to the letter reminds that Denmark, Sweden and Germany have launched their own investigations into the circumstances of the explosions of Russian gas pipelines under water.
“These investigations have not been completed. Now it is impossible to say when they will be completed. The authorities of Denmark, Germany and Sweden are talking and talking about the investigation of gas leaks, and the dialogue that this will continue until it is appropriate,” the statement said. in the document.
Three countries are informing Russia about the progress of the ongoing investigation, the document notes.
It should be noted that at the end of September, after explosions near the Danish island of Bornholm in the Baltic Sea, a total of four leaks were discovered in two pipelines.
In November, Swedish security authorities determined it was a serious sabotage, but they did not name the perpetrator.
The sites of the explosions are located in international waters in the exclusive economic zones of Denmark and Sweden.
It will be recalled that Russia announced that it was convening a UN Security Council meeting regarding the destruction of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 pipelines on February 22.
