A new wave of mobilization in Russia may also spread to full-time university students.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Measures are being taken in Russia to ensure the next wave of mobilization. So far, opportunities are being actively built up to ensure the mass mobilization of students of higher educational institutions, Ukrainian intelligence points out.
The GUR added that for this purpose, so-called “alert stations” are being created, which will assist military registration and enlistment offices in handing subpoenas to full-time students. For example, the leadership of the Novosibirsk State Pedagogical, Tomsk Polytechnic, Tomsk State Pedagogical University issued documents obliging the structural divisions of institutions to allocate a certain number of students and employees to work at “alert areas”.
It is planned to involve citizens who are not officially subject to mobilization for this work. At the same time, at Tomsk Polytechnic University, the inclusion in the “sections” occurs without the consent or even prior information of certain students and employees. Representatives of universities are appointed to manage the “sites”.
Probably, according to intelligence, mobilization in Russia will be carried out before April 1 – the beginning of the spring conscription for military service. If necessary, the start of the call may be delayed.
Recall that Russia is preparing for a new wave of mobilization – in particular, residents of Moscow will be targeted by the military enlistment offices.
