The West has made no secret of its intention to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, but the Russian Federation is allegedly impossible to defeat on the battlefield, Vladimir Putin said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened to expand the war if Western countries supply Ukraine with long-range weapons. He said this in a message to the Federal Assembly on Tuesday, February 21.
“One fact should be clear to everyone: the longer range Western systems come to Ukraine, the more we will be forced to move the threat away from our borders. This is natural,” said the head of the Russian regime.
Putin believes that the West has made no secret of its intention to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, but the Russian Federation is allegedly impossible to defeat on the battlefield.
“This is exactly how we understand all this and react accordingly. Because in this case we are talking about the existence of our country. But they also cannot but be aware that it is impossible to defeat Russia on the battlefield,” he added.
On the eve of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the authorities are working with the United States on the supply of long-range weapons.
And the Minister of Defense Alexei Reznikov bluntly said that Ukraine will receive long-range missiles from Western partners.
