“Citizens with dual citizenship (of Russia and Germany – ed.) should note that the Russian authorities consider them only as citizens of Russia. This also applies to a possible conscription in the Russian armed forces . The Embassy cannot provide them with consular protection,” the message said.
The Foreign Ministry also reminds that “the use of a German credit card, and therefore the withdrawal of cash from ATMs, is impossible in the Russian Federation. Money transfers of any kind from the EU to the Russian Federation are impossible .”
Recall that a week earlier, the United States called on its citizens to leave Russia. The Canadian authorities responded to the same appeal to their citizens.
