By 2023, Dutch instructors will train 30,000 Ukrainian soldiers. The first 30 Dutch troops will begin training in April and May.
The Netherlands plans to send another 230 troops to Germany to train Ukrainian fighters, according to NOS.
The country’s authorities said they would contribute and participate in the training of a total of 30,000 Ukrainian troops.
“Due to the large-scale mobilization in Russia, the training of the Ukrainian military is important for Ukrainian stability,” the Dutch government insisted.
It was noted that the first 30 Dutch troops would be sent over a four-week period in April and May. The remaining 200 will arrive in August and September and spend six weeks in exercises.
In addition, during the year, the Dutch military will participate in the training of the Ukrainian military in the UK.
It will be remembered that the Netherlands is one of the main allies of Ukraine in the war against Russia. The country presented hundreds of millions of dollars worth of weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and announced the transfer of Patriot complexes.
It was previously reported that Ukraine has requested F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands.
