The Russian invaders continue to turn the occupied Zaporozhye NPP into a military base.
This was announced today, February 20, by the press service of Energoatom.
It is noted that the following actions of the Rashists are known:
- a machine-gun position was set up on the roof of the fifth power unit;
- placed checkpoints at all entrances to clean overpasses through which personnel enter directly into the power units;
- a new batch of military personnel arrived at the Zaporizhia NPP – more than 600 mobilized and cadets from Russia, who were placed in the bomb shelter of the non-standard equipment plant (NSO), where they are waiting to be transferred to the Donetsk sector of the front;
- Resolists continue to build fortifications and build military installations around the power units of the station and its dry storage for spent nuclear fuel (SNF).
Energoatom notes that the actions of the Russians violate all existing nuclear and radiation safety standards.
Recall that the occupiers denied access to the storage facility and Ukrainian personnel, and representatives of the IAEA present at the ZNPP site, the state enterprise notes.
