The private military company “Wagner” has lost more than 30,000 mercenaries in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
The number of casualties is considered killed and wounded. Of the more than 30,000 Wagnerites, about 9,000 died, and about half of these 9,000 were liquidated from mid-December. About 90% of the mercenaries killed in December were recruited in Russian prisons. This was stated by the representative of the White house on national security John Kirby, reports CNN.
They treat their recruits, mostly convicts, like cannon fodder, literally throwing them into a meat grinder. He (he just tore them out of prisons and threw them on the battlefield without preparation, without equipment, without organizational command, he just threw them into battle, – he said about the tactics of the Wagner PPK).
According to Kirby, Evgeny Prigozhin’s regiment recently lost a large number of manpower in the battles for Bakhmut. However, after fighting has intensified over the past few days, the occupiers have made “gradual gains” in and around Bakhmut.
American intelligence has not yet undertaken to predict whether the Russians will be able to break into the city. The White House speaker stressed that Bakhmut has no “real strategic value”, and therefore the Armed Forces of Ukraine will maintain their strong defensive lines in the Donbass.
Recall that in February, near the occupied Luhansk, a burial place of mercenaries of the Wagner Military Military Complex was found. Residents of the village of Kirovka discovered dozens of graves of men who no one visits, and none of the buried are familiar to them.
