Two foresters from Borovaya, Izyumsky district, Kharkiv region, are suspected of treason – organizing the transfer of timber for the occupation authorities.
This was reported on February 17 by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
He was notified in absentia of suspicion of high treason committed under martial law (part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code).
According to the investigation:
- The 64-year-old senior forest foreman of the Borovskoye forestry State Enterprise “Kupyanskoe Leskhozyaystvo” went over to the side of the enemy and assumed the position of “senior foreman of the Borovskoye forestry”, illegally created on the basis of a Ukrainian state-owned enterprise. He organized the harvesting of timber and handed it over to the invaders for the construction of dugouts and other fortifications against the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- his 36-year-old colleague became a “forester” in the fake forestry under the occupiers and contributed to the transfer of the Ukrainian forest for the needs of the occupying authorities. Prior to his “career” under the invaders, the man held the position of forest foreman of the Borovsky forestry of the state enterprise “Kupyanskoye forestry”.
