Violators are residents of Vinnitsa and Chernivtsi regions aged 22 to 35 years.
Last night, a border detachment of the Mamaliga department discovered a group of men of military age who planned to reach Romania by swimming across the Prut River on an air mattress. This was reported on February 16 by the State Border Service.
It was noted that the violators were residents of Vinnitsa and Chernivtsi regions aged 22 to 35 years.
Three more residents of the Vinnytsia region were detained at one of the checkpoints near the village of Podvornoye, Chernivtsi region. They crossed the border by car and could not explain the purpose of their arrival at the controlled border area.
As added to the State Border Guard Service, all offenders were brought to border units for preparation of documents and prosecution for attempting to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine.
