Buchanin discovered the find in his own house after the Russian occupiers “visited” it.

One of the flasks with radioactive material stolen by Russian troops, taken from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant during the occupation, was found in Bucha. Energoatom announced this on Saturday, May 7, on the official Telegram channel.

Buchanin is said to have discovered a strange find in his own house after the Russian occupiers “visited” it, and just in case he called the sappers.

It turns out that the background radiation of the flask with mercury significantly exceeds the norm. The substance was picked up and given to a hazardous waste disposal company.

The occupiers, who were at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant and broke into the central analytical laboratory for the characterization of radioactive waste, stole and damaged 133 sources of ionizing radiation, with a total activity of approximately 7 million becquerels.

It was also learned that the Russians also robbed a police station on the very territory of Chernobyl. There are stored, among other things, radioactive objects.

Russian occupiers took over the Chernobyl nuclear power plant on the first day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale attack on Ukraine on February 24. For more than three weeks, the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was under Russian occupation.
