The museum is an 18th-century estate where Grigory Skovoroda worked and was buried in the last years of his life.

Russia used a full rocket to destroy the Skovoroda museum. “Not all terrorists will think of targeted shelling of cultural objects.” This was announced on Saturday, May 7, by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his video message.

At the same time, Zelensky said that the Russian occupiers destroyed or damaged nearly 200 cultural heritages.

“It seems to be a terrible danger for modern Russia – and museums, and a Christian attitude to life, and the knowledge of the people themselves. The purpose of missile attacks on museums – not all of terrorists will think about it. But such an army is fighting against us. This is what they want to bring and to other countries in Europe, “Zelensky said.

The President recalled that Grigory Skovoroda, a philosopher and poet who lived in the 18th century, taught people what a true Christian attitude to life is and how one can identify oneself.

“Well, it seems to be a terrible danger for modern Russia – and museums, and the Christian attitude to life, and the knowledge of the people themselves.

Every day of this war, the Russian army is doing things without words. But every next day he does something that makes you feel in a new way, ”the president said.

The Grigory Skovoroda Museum is located in the village. Skovorodinovka. It is an 18th-century estate where Grigory Skovoroda worked and was buried in the last years of his life. This winter, the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Ukrainian philosopher will be celebrated at the state level in Ukraine.
