A war of attrition will not play in Russia’s favor, because the Russian Federation will not be able to hold out longer than Ukraine. This was stated by the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, at a briefing after the meeting of the Rammstein-9 Contact Group on Ukraine’s Defense in Brussels yesterday.
When Russia wages a long enough war, they (the Russians – ed.) will not be able to hold out longer than the Ukrainian people and the group of allies and partners that met today, the US general said.
Milli added that unlike the Ukrainian military, who are inferior to the enemy in the number of weapons, but effectively use their own ingenuity and skill in the existing conditions, the Russian Federation is waging an aggressive, exhausting war.
Ukraine effectively uses its asymmetric advantages to protect itself. And the most important asymmetric advantage they possess is courage, resilience and tactical prowess. This war is very dynamic. And Ukraine is fighting today, training and developing future operations. Ukraine is integrating recent commitments on armored vehicles, infantry fighting vehicles and tanks with fire to achieve the effect of synchronous ground maneuver, Milley said.
The US representative also expressed confidence that Russia would not survive the exhausting war.
