Russian bastards could have targeted a team of volunteers in Bakhmut with rockets on February 2nd, killing American Pete Reed.
The New York Times published a video from the moment a Russian anti-tank missile hit the car of a team of volunteers in Bakhmut.
It happened on February 2nd. Then the head of the Global Response Medicine group, American Pete Reed, died. Five volunteers were injured, among them Norwegians Sander Sørsven Trelvik and Simon Johnsen.
Frame-by-frame analysis showed that the Russians had fired a laser-guided Kornet anti-tank guided missile. Such weapons are usually fired only if they see and choose a target.
The NYT story says it is not known if the Russians knew the group was made up of aid workers, but the convoy was marked with markings indicating the type of vehicles.
American volunteer Pete Reed provided assistance to civilians to the last.
Pot was evacuating civilians and helping the wounded when his vehicle was quickly fired on. He died doing what he knew best, what he lived for, and what he loved. And, obviously, covering a member of the team, – said the wife of the deceased volunteer.
Pete Reed is a US Marine Corps veteran. He began his humanitarian career working in the aftermath of Storm Sandy in his home state of New Jersey. He also led medical teams during the Battle of Mosul in Iraq, treating more than 10,000 patients.
