The Russian spy network continues to be active in European countries.
Moscow set a goal to influence individual authoritative people in European countries, as well as public opinion. That is why the Russian dictatorship invests heavily in the media. These are not only open propaganda mouthpieces such as Russia Today, but also other more covert avenues of influence. Andriy Chernyak, a representative of the military intelligence of Ukraine, said this during an interview with the Greek edition of Iefimerida, on February 14, according to the GUR Facebook page.
There are cases when foreign media journalists recruited by Russians go to work with the sole task of talking with their colleagues in order to influence their opinion in favor of Russia, the intelligence officer said.
Chernyak noted that recently the Russian spy network has focused on neutralizing the supply routes for Western weapons provided by partners to Ukraine. The occupiers are interested in the whole of Europe as a “zone of influence”.
If she subjugates Ukraine, she will not stop there. She will move on. And we know that Putin had such plans before the invasion of Ukraine. Perhaps they have not changed even now, – the representative of military intelligence emphasized.
Recall, the GUR stated that the enemy plans to discredit the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Shaptal, the head of the SBU Vasyl Malyuk, the Minister of Defense Oleksiy Reznikov, the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak, the acting head of the National Police Ivan Vyhovsky and other officials.
