Personnel changes in the Ministry of Defense were announced by the head of the defense department Alexei Reznikov.
The minister submitted three new deputies to President Volodymyr Zelensky for approval. However, his two former “deputies” will continue to work as advisers to the Ministry of Defense. Reznikov announced this on February 14 on Facebook.
The head of the MOU proposed the candidacy of the Hero of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, for the position of the first deputy. Volunteer Vitaly Deineg was proposed to be appointed to the position of Deputy for Digital Development, Digital Transformation and Digitalization. And Andriy Shevchenko, media worker, can take the chair of the deputy for European integration.
Reznikov also said that First Deputy Defense Minister Colonel-General Ivan Rusnak and Deputy Defense Minister for Digital Development Oleg Gaiduk remain on his team and will be involved as advisors to the minister.
A few days later, Reznikov also promised to present further changes to strengthen the Ministry team.
Recall, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that 621 officials of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine were brought to disciplinary or material liability based on the results of internal audits in 2022.
