Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, has his own armored train. He began to actively use it when Russia began to accumulate troops near the borders with Ukraine.
The train was built in 2014-2015. Now the dictator actively travels around Russia, in particular, in residences in Sochi and Valdai, because he is afraid that his movement by plane can be tracked.
The presidential train has four locomotives and 11 carriages, some of which are equipped with special communications. Outwardly, the train is no different from the standard ones, according to an investigation by the Dossier Center.
Putin uses the planes of a special flight detachment less and less, and more and more often he moves on an armored railway special warehouse.
The departure of the train may be spontaneous, unannounced. After the outbreak of the war, in February-March, he began to use the train very actively, especially to get to his residence in Valdai, the Dossier source said.
The armored train cannot be tracked using special services like Flightradar24. For such reasons of secrecy, the entire Kim family, the head of the DPRK, used the trains. The composition on the outside is almost different from other Russian Railways trains. The exception is casings that cover special communications antennas.
