A significant risk of snow avalanche exists in the Transcarpathian region and moderately – in the Carpathian region.
In Transcarpathia, there is a high risk of avalanches, according to the Department of Hydrological Forecasts of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
So, on February 12-13, the danger of snow avalanche of the third degree was declared in the mountains of the eastern part of the Transcarpathian region.
Avalanches are possible at low additional loads, individual natural medium and large avalanches.
Moderate risk of avalanche (second level) is expected on February 12-13 – in the mountains of the western and central part of the Transcarpathian region, in the mountains of Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv regions.

It was earlier reported that eight people died in the Alps due to the weather in two days.
Recall that at the end of last year, about ten winter sports enthusiasts were buried under an avalanche in the Austrian ski area Lech / Zurs.
