In Ukraine, due to Russian shelling, almost two dozen power units of thermal power plants were damaged.
Taking into account the occupation of some of the facilities, Ukraine has lost three-quarters of the capacity of the thermal power plant. This was announced today, February 10, at a government meeting by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmigal.
In total, almost two dozen TPP power units remain damaged due to constant attacks. If we add to this the fact of the occupation of part of our energy facilities, Ukraine has temporarily lost 44% of nuclear generation, 75% of the capacity of thermal power plants and 33% of block combined heat and power plants, the prime minister noted.
In addition, every second Ukrenergo substation was attacked in four months, Shmigal added.
Despite this terror, the vast majority of Ukrainians are left with heat, water and electricity,” the head of government stressed. – Repairs are underway, there are enough resources to end the winter, generators are coming in, and energy equipment from partners is leaving.
Ukraine has already withstood 123 days of Russian energy terrorism, the prime minister noted.
