“Dorin Recean has been nominated as a candidate for the position of prime minister,” he said.
According to him, the corresponding decree was signed after the representatives of the ruling Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) expressed support for Recan during the consultations.
Now, in two weeks, Rechan must submit the composition and program of the new cabinet for parliamentary approval. For its approval, the support of the majority of 101 representatives is required, the ruling party has 63 of them.
According to the country’s president, the new government will focus on economic development, attracting investments, reforming justice, and cleaning it from corruption.

He also named three other priority areas for the government.
“This is order and discipline in state institutions, they must serve the people, business. Second, it is necessary to give impetus to the economy, which requires investment … Third, it is peace and stability … We have to combine in the security sector so that everyone feels protected,” the candidate said.
