The US Department of Defense compared the aggressor country Russia to a “chronic disease” and acknowledged its potential danger.

Russia will remain a “military prosperous adversary” even after its latest failure in the war against Ukraine. This is what Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Celeste Wallander said, journalist Jeff Seldin reported on his Twitter account on Friday, February 10.

“Russia is a serious threat, it is a chronic disease. Even if Russia suffers a strategic defeat in Ukraine, it will remain a rich military adversary, for which we must correctly evaluate our plans, operations and ability to cope with it,” he said.

As you know, Biden appealed to a joint session of both houses of Congress. He called Russia’s war against Ukraine a challenge for America, which gave an appropriate response and demonstrated its global leadership in defending democracy.

In addition, the US President, in his annual speech to Congress, promised to support Ukraine as long as necessary.
