The Ukrainian air defense radar system recorded the passage of a Russian missile in the sky over Romania, despite the denial of the Romanian Ministry of Defense.
In a comment to Babel, Air Force speaker Yuriy Ignat said that two Kalibr cruise missiles crossed the Ukrainian border with Moldova and Romania in the direction of Chernivtsi.
A serious incident has occurred. Romania needs to sort this out before drawing premature conclusions. One thing we know for sure – our data clearly indicate that the missile violated the airspace of the countries mentioned, – Ignat added.
Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on today’s Russian missile attack and noted that several Russian missiles passed through the airspace of Moldova and Romania.
Yet another proof that terror knows no limits and never will. Another proof that the defense of Ukraine is the defense of all of Europe and the world, of every country that just wants to live. Today’s missiles are a challenge to NATO, collective security. This is a terror that can and must be stopped. The world must stop,” the president said.
Earlier today, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny, said that two Kalibr missiles fired by the Russian military from the Black Sea towards Ukraine passed through the airspace of Moldova and Romania.
The Ministry of Defense of Moldova confirmed the information about the flight of missiles over its territory, while in Bucharest they reported that they could not confirm the flight of Russian missiles over Romania.
