The American leader intends to sign a document providing for the delivery of weapons, transportation, food and assistance to Ukraine under an accelerated procedure.
US President Joe Biden will sign a bill on the introduction of Lend-Lease for Ukraine on May 9. This was announced on Friday, May 6, by White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.
“On Monday, the President will sign the Lend-Lease Law to protect democracy in Ukraine,” Psaki said.
This law is designed to simplify the provision of military assistance to Ukraine during the resistance to Russia.
Psaki also confirmed that Biden will take part in a G7 video conference on Monday, which will also be joined by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky via video link.
Participants in the meeting will discuss the latest developments in Russia’s war against Ukraine and its impact on the world.
Recall that on April 28, the US Congress supported Lend-Lease for Ukraine.
