Participants in the ninth meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine will focus on a specific discussion of the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eve of the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. This was said by the spokesman of the US Department of Defense General Patrick Ryder, reports Ukrinform.
“Next week’s discussions (in Ramstein format – ed.) will focus on Ukraine’s most pressing security needs, especially as the anniversary of Russia’s illegal invasion approaches,” a Pentagon spokesman said.
He emphasized that a review of the progress made is expected, as well as “very substantive” discussions on what needs to be done to help Ukraine in the future.
At the same time, Ryder said that he had no official announcement about the possible supply of American aircraft to Ukraine. However, according to him, the United States will continue to closely consult with the Ukrainians, international allies and partners to determine the most pressing security needs.
The Pentagon spokesman emphasized that the participants in Rammstein 9 will work hard to ensure that Ukrainians are equipped to succeed on the battlefield.
It will be remembered that, the previous day, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak made a statement on the tanks and aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
