British Prime Minister Sunak asked Defense Secretary Wallace to find out what kind of aircraft his country could potentially provide to Ukraine.
Sky News reported this on February 8, citing Sunak’s office. London has not yet made a decision on the supply of fighter jets to Kyiv, but will explore such a possibility, a spokesman for the prime minister said.
The training of Ukrainian pilots in the use of British aircraft will begin in the spring, Rishi Sunak’s office said.
On February 8, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the deputies of both houses of the British Parliament in London.
During the meeting between Sunak and Zelensky, the British prime minister, reaffirming his readiness, the readiness of the UK to support Ukraine, said that “we will do everything so that Ukraine wins a decisive victory this year.”
In addition to the supply of weapons, London promises to expand the training program for the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including in it the training program for marines and pilots of NATO fighters.
