The Prime Minister of Britain noted that the first Challenger tank will be in Ukraine in March.
Ukraine will receive the first Challenger tanks in March. Delivery of British fighter jets to Kyiv is also possible. This is what Rishi Sunak said in a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to him, the fighters are “part of the conversation” with Zelensky. He added that “everything is possible” when it comes to military assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We support this rhetoric with action,” the British official said.
Sunak also officially confirmed the expansion of Ukrainian military training. In Britain in particular, pilots and sailors will now be trained.
According to him, the training of Ukrainian pilots is the first step towards the supply of British combat aircraft to help drive out the Russian occupiers in Ukraine.
The British Prime Minister noted that there are also “supply chain requirements” that come with this type of aircraft.
“We are talking to our allies,” Sunak said, adding that “there are other allies involved in these purchases.”
