The earthquake in Turkey and Syria claimed the lives of more than 7,826 people. This is reported by the British edition of The Guardian.
In Turkey, the death of 5,894 people is currently confirmed, and in Syria – 1,932 people.
The Guardian writes that there are fears of a significant increase in the number of victims, since according to the World Health Organization, the death toll could be up to 20 thousand people.
