The Verkhovna Rada has extended martial law and general mobilization in Ukraine for 90 days.
People’s deputies voted for bill No. 8419, according to which martial law in Ukraine was extended from February 19 for 90 days. Also, general mobilization was extended for three months, bill No. 8420 was supported by 344 people’s deputies. People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced this on Telegram.
Thus, for the sixth time since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, martial law and mobilization continue.
Martial law implies that compulsory labor service and alienation of personal property may be introduced in Ukraine. There is also a mandatory curfew, there are restrictions on movement and a ban on the sale of weapons and alcohol. Mass events and strikes are prohibited, as well as possible restrictions on the operation of communications and the Internet. And those liable for military service are forbidden to change their place of residence.
Recall that the Armed Forces of Ukraine assured that mobilization in Ukraine began on February 24 and continues all the time, and there are allegedly no waves of conscription. “The command noted that Ukrainians are summoned by summons from territorial recruiting centers in most cases” to clarify military registration data.
