The security service has collected unconditional evidence of another henchman of the occupiers in the temporarily occupied part of southern Ukraine.
The SBU reported the suspicion of the former head of the Security Service, who headed the punitive bodies of the Russian Federation in the occupied part of the Kherson region. The attacker was the former head of the SBU Alexander Yakimenko, who has been hiding in Russia since 2014 for high treason. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
At the beginning of a massive invasion, he supported the Russian invaders and offered them his help in the war against Ukraine. For this, he was appointed head of the “state security service in the Kherson region” created by Russia.
In this position, he fulfills Moscow’s duties to dismantle the Kremlin regime and suppress the resistance movement in the region. To do this, organized mass repression against local residents. People are being illegally persecuted, kidnapped and subjected to brutal torture.
In his criminal activities, the henchman of the occupiers is “responsible” to the personnel of the FSB, which connects the repressive bodies of the Russian Federation in the occupied regions.
During the occupation of Kherson, the “official” gave instructions to occupy one of the offices in the center of the city.
In the basement of this building, the Russians built a torture chamber, where illegally detained citizens were taken. There they were beaten to confess to helping the Defense Forces of Ukraine, after which they offered to accept amnesty for money.
Thus, the head of the local “branch” of the FSB and his accomplices “profited” from mass repressions, and also made “indicators” in front of the Russian authorities.
According to the investigation, its head personally recruited eight traitors who were directly involved in torturing civilians in the ranks of the occupying body.
After the liberation of Kherson, the “officer” with his henchmen fled to the left bank of the Dnieper and is now hiding from justice there.
Based on the collected evidence, SBU investigators informed the former general and eight of his accomplices of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
-
Part 2 Art. 110 (interference with the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);
-
Part 2 Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law);
-
Art. 260 (creating a paramilitary or armed formation not provided for by law);
-
Part 2 Art. 28, part 1 of Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war).
At present, complex actions are being taken to bring the culprits to justice.
Recall that the counterintelligence of the Security Service prevented the leakage of secret information from one of the leading state-owned enterprises, which is part of the structure of Ukroboronprom: a Russian agent was detained in Kyiv, ordered to get a job in a Ukrainian defense company to collect intelligence in favor of the aggressor country.
The SBU found that Medvedchuk’s husband’s companies financed the National Guard and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
