These are planned exercises. We are talking about the transfer of the complex, its deployment, about increasing the level of interaction between the individual elements that make up the Patriot air defense system.
The Polish Army is conducting training on the transfer and deployment of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system. This was announced by the Minister of National Defense of Poland, Mariusz Blaszczak, reports Ukrinform.
“These are planned exercises. We are talking about moving the complex, deploying it, about increasing the level of interaction between the individual elements that make up the Patriot air defense system,” said minister
Blaszczak recalled that Poland ordered the first Patriot air defense systems in 2018, and they were delivered to Poland by the end of 2022. The first joint exercises took place at the Torun training area in the north of the country, while the current exercises takes place in Sochaczew near Warsaw.
The minister encouraged the journalists not to inform about the movement of military equipment, but mentioned that the ministry deliberately talked about these exercises in public space a few days ago.
“We will deliberately show some exercises. These exercises are intended to scare the aggressor, we show the combat readiness of the Polish army,” Blashchak stressed.
Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the commissioning of the Patriot system.
