Russian agents, who were supposed to correct missile attacks on railway junctions and energy facilities in Odessa and Kherson, were detained by the SBU.
Two FSB agents were caught in the course of large-scale counter-sabotage measures in the front-line regions of southern Ukraine. The traitors collected intelligence about the basing and movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Taurida direction. They also handed over to the invaders the locations of critical infrastructure in Odessa and Kherson, namely the coordinates of local facilities of Ukrzaliznytsia and power generating enterprises. This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine.
It is noted that the special service worked ahead of the curve – the agents were exposed, located and detained at the time when they were transmitting intelligence to the enemy. One of the agents was detained near the railway station in Kherson, and the other in Odessa, when he was photographing military installations.
The attackers turned out to be local residents, whom the enemy recruited at the beginning of a full-scale war. They worked for the FSB of Russia. Investigators informed both detainees of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. They face up to 15 years in prison.
Recall that the counterintelligence of the SBU exposed an employee of Ukroboronprom as working for Russian military intelligence. An enemy agent was detained in Kyiv, who, according to the plan of the Moscow curators, was supposed to get a job in a Ukrainian defense company.
