Residents of Lithuania raised six million euros in one week to buy air defense systems for Ukraine. This amount has exceeded by one million euros the previously planned minimum amount of five million euros. About that know Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis on Twitter on Sunday, February 5.
“There are only three million people in Lithuania, but this week we raised six million euros to buy air defense systems for Ukraine. This shows that there are no signs of fatigue. We will be with Ukraine until victory ,” said the Lithuanian official.
On the evening of February 5, 6,039,455 euros were collected, according to the campaign website Radarom!,
Promotion Radarom! started on January 30th and will run until February 24th.
At the beginning of the campaign, the goal was to raise five million euros for the purchase of a multifunctional tactical radar for monitoring the airspace near critical infrastructure.
However, the minimum amount and more was collected in the shortest possible time – a week later.
Remember, earlier it was reported that Lithuania managed to close the minimum collection plan for air defense radar for Ukraine: more than 5.3 million euros were collected there.
In addition, Ukrainian military mortar groups were prepared in Lithuania.
