Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, in an address to the people on February 4, said that he had signed documents regarding persons whose SBU found Russian citizenship.
This, according to him, is necessary to protect and cleanse the state from those who are on the side of the aggressor.
The president also announced in his evening address on Sunday another legal step to implement the sanctions decisions of the National Security and Defense Council.
“Censor” after this news published a list of ex-officials whom the president will deprive of citizenship.
This is allegedly about officials from the time of Viktor Yanukovych. According to sources, the head of state is expected to sign a decree on the termination of the citizenship of Viktor Baransky, Alexander Gorbylev, Alexander Klimenko, Vitaly Zakharchenko, Dmitry Tabachnik, Alexander Yakimenko, Andrey Klyuev, Bogdan Klyuev, Vitaly Slab and Nikita Shentsev.
Andrey Klyuev is the former head of the National Security and Defense Council, Tabachnik was once the head of the Ministry of Education, Klymenko was the former minister of income and fees, Zakharchenko was the former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who dispersed the Maidan in 2013-14, Yakymenko was once the head of the SBU.
Also on the list was a member of the Opposition Platform for Life of the Odessa City Council, Viktor Baransky.
The basis for the deprivation of citizenship of Ukraine was the presence of Russian citizenship in these persons.
Recall that in early January, the President deprived the citizenship of four people’s deputies of Ukraine: Viktor Medvedchuk, Taras Kozak, Andriy Derkach, Renat Kuzmin.
