The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to terminate the agreement between Ukraine and Russia on cooperation in the field of space exploration. It was concluded in 1996.
The Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, concluded on August 27, 1996, and the protocol between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on amending the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation have been terminated in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes, committed on November 26, 2010, – said Taras Melnichuk, representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada.
The Russian-Ukrainian agreement was the main document that determined bilateral cooperation in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
