In Ugledar, during the storming of the city by Russian invaders, the police from the White Angel group, together with the military, carried out an operation to save a large family – a woman and three children aged 7-14.
The response video was published today, February 3, by the press service of the National Police.
Mom and three daughters were evacuated only on the second attempt – because of the dense fire of the Russians who went on the attack on the city. To save the lives of the kids, the police teamed up with aerial reconnaissance and a brigade of the Black Cossacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the description of the video says. – The most difficult part of the operation was the search for a family in a burning city with the risk of running into enemy DRGs.
It is noted that after the family agreed to the persuasion of the police to leave the city, the White Angel group made a search and rescue trip, but for the first time it was not possible to pick up the family – on that day the Russians launched an attack on the city and the police crew came under fire .
The continuous assault lasted four days. Therefore, we planned a new departure in close cooperation with the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – air reconnaissance and the 72nd OMBr. Black Cossacks. Together they made an evacuation route. We caught a gap between shellings, about 30 minutes, and drove into the city, – said the head of police department No. 2 (city of Kurakhovo) Artem Shchus, who led the team of “angels”.
The family lived on the outskirts of the city, in this area there were already some Russians. When the police got the address, there was no one there, and the building itself was destroyed. At this point, the enemy again launched assault actions.
The “angels” drove the transport, dressed the girls in children’s bulletproof vests and helmets, and together with their mother they quickly delivered them to Kurakhovo, the message says.
